Nissan has revealed its facelifted 2014 Micra hatch, ahead of the light car's official unveiling at the Bangkok Motor Show this week.

Expected to focus largely on styling, the Micra's update brings a new large grille opening with Nissan's familiar V-like chrome garnish, flanked by sharpened headlights that extend further toward the grille.

A widened lower grille is also featured the re-shaped bumper, while larger new foglight bezels replace the small ports of the outgoing model.

Updates at the rear end include a new bumper design and new LED tail-lights.

In the cabin, Nissan has given the Micra's dash an upmarket makeover, adding a redesigned centre stack with a gloss black trim, new controls and new rectangular air-conditioning ports.

Nissan has yet to confirm any changes to the Micra's mechanical package, however.
