Mercedes-Benz has revealed details of the two-door models in its restyled E-Class range, two weeks on from unveiling the sedan and wagon bodies.

Set for an Australian debut in September, the E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet models have been set apart from their family-focused stablemates in two cosmetically significant ways.

Up front, the two-door models get a unique new stepped headlight design, and along the profile can be seen the same 'pontoon' pumped rear guards that featured with the outgoing model.

As with the lightly tweaked profile, changes at the rear are limited to new tail-light internals and a new rear bumper and exhaust-tip combo.

The updated E-Class Coupe and Cabrio will benefit from the same technology upgrades gracing the family models, with a number of them also set to feature in the all-new S-Class flagship.
