Another month, another major international motor show. This time it’s the Los Angeles Auto Show, running from November 21 to 30.

Open to the press on November 18, the 2014 show so far promises 25 world premieres, with more expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

What exactly can we expect?

Most brands are keeping mum for now, but world-first unveilings will include models and concepts from Acura, Audi, BMW, Chrysler, Cadillac, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Mazda, Lexus, Porsche, Scion, Toyota and Volkswagen.

So far, Audi has confirmed it will preview the next leap in its evolving design language, while BMW is reported to be preparing new M versions of its big X5 and X6 SUVs.

"This year’s debuts will deliver production and concept vehicles representing the ever-growing luxury, performance, low and zero emission categories,” the event’s organisers say.

“The debuts range from flagship SUVs and ultra luxury sedans to new compact entries and zero-emission production and prototype debuts."

LA will also again host its annual design awards event, this year focusing on 'The Cars of 2029'. Read more on that here.

"The LA Auto Show sets the stage for the coming auto show season, where media and executives can gather to see the auto industry's newest offerings," Lisa Kaz, President of the LA Auto Show, said.

"Los Angeles is where 'what's next always comes first,' and we want this year's attendees to walk away with the feeling that they've experienced the future of transportation technology and performance."

The 2014 LA Auto Show will open to media on November 18, with the doors opening to public on November 21.
