The next major event on the international motor show calendar will be October’s Paris show - but already, organisers of November’s LA Auto Show are building hype for their own event.

This week, the Los Angeles show has confirmed it will host “at least” 25 world premieres, along with a further 60 models making their first appearance on US soil.

"This year’s debuts will deliver production and concept vehicles representing the ever-growing luxury, performance, low and zero emission categories,” the event’s organisers said today.

“The debuts range from flagship SUVs and ultra luxury sedans to new compact entries and zero-emission production and prototype debuts."

There is likely more to come however, with confirmation that “several” other brands have booked space for unspecified models.

Marques planning world debuts for LA include Acura, Audi, BMW, Chrysler, General Motors, Hyundai, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Scion, Toyota, Volvo and Volkswagen.

"The LA Auto Show sets the stage for the coming auto show season, where media and executives can gather to see the auto industry's newest offerings," Lisa Kaz, President of the LA Auto Show, said.

"Los Angeles is where 'what's next always comes first,' and we want this year's attendees to walk away with the feeling that they've experienced the future of transportation technology and performance."

The 2014 LA Auto Show will open to media on November 18, with the doors opening to public on November 21.
