2014 Jeep Compass On Sale In Australia From Q3

Jeep has announced updates for its Compass SUV, adding a new six-speed automatic transmission, new features and a number of small styling changes.

Expected in Australia early in the third quarter, updates to the Compass are headlined by the new transmission, which replaces the current CVT automatic in certain models.

Developed by PowerTech, the six-speed auto is built on a 'fill for life' design, doing away with the need for fluid changes and reducing maintenance costs.

On the styling front, the Compass picks up new highlights to the grille in some models, along with smoked lights, colour-coded side mirror caps, chrome highlights and new 18-inch alloy wheel options.

Changes in the cabin include an optional 'Saddle Brown' perforated leather trim with accent stitching, updated instrument cluster graphics, and a new vinyl-wrapped treatment to the armrests and centre console lid.
