The single-cab Tunland's new drive-away price will get you the 4x2 model with tray and five-speed manual transmission, while the 4x4 adds $3000 at $24,990 drive-away.
The dual-cab 4x2 and 4x4 models continue to form part of the range, priced from $26,990 and $29,990 drive-away respectively.
While most Tunlands in Australia are fitted with a five-speed Getrag manual (Foton tells us an automatic is on the cards), the new entry-level 4x2 single-cab model gets a Tangshan version instead.
Likewise, while most Tunland models are driven by the 120kW/360Nm 2.8 litre Cummins turbodiesel, the 4x2 gets a 96kW/280Nm version of the same mill.
The 4x2 single-cab also misses out on the limited-slip rear differential, which is standard on all other models, but wins on fuel economy with a figure of 8.0 l/100km; compared to 8.3 l/100km in the remaining models.
Standard features in both single-cab models include air conditioning, power windows, Bluetooth and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The Tunland single-cab has a one-tonne payload plus a 2.5 tonne braked towing capacity, and comes with a three-year, 100,000km warranty with roadside assistance.
