2014 Ford Falcon Update Confirmed, Mustang On The Way

Ford has reaffirmed its commitment to giving the outgoing Falcon sedan one last major update, while again confirming an Australian debut for the next Mustang coupe. 

The announcement, made in Sydney today by Ford global boss Alan Mulally, follows news in May that the company will end local production in 2016, signalling the end of the Falcon. 

Ford last confirmed an update to the Falcon at last year's Sydney Motor Show, but falling sales and coming changes to the Fringe Benefits Tax had raised concerns the update may never come.
