Ferrari has created a new three-day event for owners and fans of the ‘prancing horse’, with the first-ever ‘Ferrari Racing Days’ to take place next year.
Sydney Motorsport Park at Eastern Creek will host the event, with organisers hoping to present ‘the world of Ferrari, in one weekend’.
The event will serve as the second round of the Ferrari APAC Challenge 2014 racing series, following the first round in Sepang, Malaysia.
Owners will have the opportunity to take to the track in their own cars, while off-track displays will include classic and rare Ferraris along with the entire 2014 model range.
“We are beyond thrilled to host the first ever Ferrari Racing Days in Australia at Sydney Motorsport Park,” Ferrari Australasia CEO Herbert Appleroth said.
“This is a unique event that will see the biggest collection of Ferrari’s ever (in Australia), including our Formula 1 cars and the Ferrari APAC Challenge.”
It is unclear whether the new V6-powered 2014 Formula 1 Ferraris will be on display or this year’s F138 model, but the scheduled weekend is nestled neatly between the Bahrain and Chinese rounds on next year’s F1 calendar.
The 2014 Ferrari Racing Days event will take place at Sydney Motorsport Park from April 11-13 next year, with ticket prices and further details announced soon.
