2014 FORD FALCON XR8 CONFIRMED

Ford Australia has confirmed that the beloved XR8 badge will return in 2014 as part of the promised update to the Falcon range.

It's a bittersweet win for fans however, with today's announcement bringing final confirmation that the FPV brand will be shut down by the end of 2014, ahead of the Falcon's retirement in 2016.

The news could prove a win for collectors however, with a number of celebration models planned before the FPV badge disappears.

“We appreciate all of the great team members, dealers, customers and fans who have supported FPV through its history. We look forward to sharing further details of the final FPV models and the new XR8 over the coming months," Ford Australia's Graeme Whickman said today.
