The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), better known as the Detroit Auto Show, opens this week.

Kicking off the travelling circus that is the 2014 international motor-show calendar, NAIAS is already proving a show to look forward to.

This year's event promises a solid list of concepts and production models set for an unveiling, including the new Mercedes C-Class and Volvo's XC Coupe concept.

Production Models

A haul of new production cars will also make their global motor-show debut in Detroit, some of them already revealed and some yet to appear. Click through each item below to find all the details.

A number of other models will also make their North American debut in Detroit, including a pair of Audis and a Bentley, along with the new Honda Jazz and a new Volkswagen.

New concepts making their first appearance on American soil will include the Mercedes S-Class Coupe, and the Nissan IDx twins.
