2014 Camaro Z/28 Sets Hot Lap Time At Nurburgring: Video

The quest for Nurburgring glory is a never-ending one for carmakers, and Chevrolet’s new Camaro Z/28 has had a good crack at it this week.

The General's big muscle car lapped the ‘ring in 7 minutes 37.47 seconds, bettering some impressive performance cars (with much higher price tags) along the way.

During previous attempts, Lexus’ LFA managed 7:38 dead during a German magazine test, while the Porsche 911 Carrera S was also pipped by the Z/28 with a time of 7:37.9.
