The all-new 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class has been given an early unveiling this week, appearing in a set of new photos captured by TMR's spies.

The new C-Class had previously surfaced in the overseas press, but these latest shots offer a first look at the 2014 model in its AMG Sport guise.

Entering the range with a 'downsized S-Class' design, the new C wears a similar styling language, with a broad upright grille, bladed headlights, swooping character lines and tall tail-lights.

Shown here in full Sport kit - a styling and handling options pack - the new C-Class also gets deep ports and a lip spoiler in the front bumper, along with larger alloy wheels, a vented rear bumper and twin exhaust tips.

Mercedes has already offered an official look at the new C's interior, revealing a sporting cabin with SLS-inspired circular vents, a large standalone display screen and silver highlights throughout.
