2014 BMW M235i REVEALED
BMW's new 2 Series has been given a rude unveiling online this week, and not for the first time.
These latest photos, published on enthusiast website BimmerPost and its forum 2Addicts, come more than five months after the new coupe was spied without camouflage during promotional filming.
Now, a dealer event overseas has seen a small selection of phone-cam shots surface online, with at least one image understood to have appeared on photography social network Instagram.
The model shown at the event is the same 240kW/450Nm M235i coupe leaked earlier in the year, featuring a sports body-kit and five-spoke wheels identical to the rims worn by the current M135i hot hatch.
As expected, the 2 Series coupe will wear a unique headlight design unrelated to its 1 Series platform mate - and in fact rather unlike most of BMW's latest models, which nearly all feature a connected headlight-to-grille design.
Recent spy photos suggest however that the 1 Series hatch will soon debut a facelifted update that will give it a face almost identical to the new 2 Series.
The appearance of those earlier photos hasn't slowed BMW's planned teaser campaign, with a preview video hitting the net just this week. Could these new photos put a dent in official plans and push an early unveiling?
Only time will tell. For now, expect the 2 Series to debut early in 2014.
