Toyota has introduced a new top-shelf model to its Australian Prius V range, bringing the familiar i-Tech trim grade to the people-moving hybrid.
The new model also celebrates a new sales landmark for the brand, with Toyota confirming 10,000 hybrid sales in Australia this year.
Toyota's growing range of hybrid models includes the Prius hatch, Prius C light car and Prius V wagon, along with the Camry Hybrid sedan.
The 10,000 sales figure also includes the Lexus RX 450h SUV, GS 450h and LS 600hL sedans, and the CT 200h hatch.
The new Prius V i-Tech joins the range at $46,490 - marking a significant $10,500 premium over the regular Prius V model. Toyota says the additional features "more than compensate for the price difference".
