2014 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER UPDATES
Mitsubishi's still-new Outlander SUV will pick up a number of key upgrades next month, a source has confirmed with TMR this week.
For the 2014 model year, a number of features from the $5500 'Premium Pack' have been made standard, and all models will wear 18-inch alloy wheels. Black roof rails will also become standard.
The mid-spec Outlander LS gets an upgrade to the MMCS satellite navigation and infotainment system, along with automatic headlights and wipers.
The seven-seat LS will also feature an Eco Mode switch and Eco Drive support system, a reversing camera and rear sensors, paddle shifters, vents in the rear, seven airbags, hill-start assist and a six-speaker audio system with two tweeters.
Move up to the Aspire and there's the MMCS satnav and infotainment with a seven-inch screen, along with adaptive cruise control and forward collision mitigation.
Other upgrades - according to our source - include a powered tailgate, electric sunroof, HID headlights and headlight washers. The Aspire also packs keyless start, and like the LS it also features paddle shifters, seven airbags, dual-zone climate control and tinted glass.
There is no news on pricing for the 2014 model year, and, of course, it's unclear if Mitsubishi will swallow the cost of these upgrades or increase prices. There is also no word from our source on changes to the entry ES model at this stage.
