The Aventador is only 14 months old, yet Lamborghini has already started rolling out the special editions.
Set to make its official debut at the Shanghai motor show, the Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50 Anniversario Edition has broken cover early thanks to these images leaked by a German auto publication.
Built to commemorate the Italian supercar maker's 50th birthday, only 100 LP720-4 50 Anniversario Editions will be built.
Technical details have yet to be released, but, as the Anniversario's name suggests, it will have some 20 horsepower more than the regular 700-horsepower Aventador. Translated into kilowatts, that's a meaty 530kW.
Top speed will be limited to 350km/h and the zero-to-100km/h sprint will be done and dusted in just 2.9 seconds.
An aggressive front bumper, reprofiled side skirts and deeper rear diffuser will add more downforce, and the huge black alloy wheels are likely to be shod in grippier rubber.
Lamborghini has yet to officially whip the covers off the LP720-4 Anniversario, so precise details are still secret. Stay tuned for more info.
