Honda's all-new 2013 CR-V SUV will make its local debut at this month's Australian International Motor Show, following its world premiere in November last year.

Appearing in Sydney ahead of its November sale date, the new fourth-generation CR-V will be offered in both two- and all-wheel-drive - the latter marking an Australian first for the model.

Honda will also show off its new Jazz Hybrid at the show, before launching the petrol-electric hatch into the Australian market early next year.

The Jazz Hybrid will join Honda's existing line-up of hybrid models, including the Civic Hybrid sedan, Insight hatch and CR-Z sports coupe.

Driving the new CR-V is an updated version of the previous model's 2.4 litre petrol engine, producing 137kW and 221Nm of torque - up from 125kW and 218Nm.

A five-speed auto remains the standard transmission choice, and Honda has yet to confirm if a manual option will be offered (the current model can be had with a six-speed manual).

In front-wheel-drive form, the international CR-V lists fuel consumption figures of 9.0 l/100km, while the all-wheel-drive version is listed at 9.4 l/100km.
