Holden's all-new 2013 Colorado is now on sale in Australia, pitched against the likes of the segment-leading Hilux, Navara and Triton.
Opening the range is the cab-chassis DX, priced at $26,990 - $1500 less than the current LX entry model, but with a host of new convenience and safety features, and a range of new accessories.
Body styles among the 26 model combinations include cab-chassis and tubbed pickups, available with single, space and crew cabs.
Depending on the model, two turbocharged DOHC four-cylinder diesel engines are offered, along with a five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission.
Mechanical Package
In 2.5 litre turbodiesel form, available with a five-speed manual transmission only, the Colorado will offer 110kW at 3800rpm and 350Nm of torque from 2000rpm.
The larger 2.8 litre engine will deliver 132kW at 3800rpm with both transmissions, producing 440Nm of torque with the manual and 470Nm with the auto - the latter bettering the 3.0 litre diesel it replaces.

The Colorado's suspension package includes independent double wishbone coil spring front suspension and a leaf spring rear.
Holden has confirmed a towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes with all 2.8 litre models, and 3.0 litre tonnes for the 4x2-only 2.5 litre engine.
The Colorado also offers a one-tonne payload as standard on every model in the range, regardless of powertrain or body style. Some models have a payload of up to 1.4 tonne.
