Holden has boosted the appeal of its Captiva 5 SUV with a new LTZ model. There is also a new six-speed automatic transmission added as standard across the range.
Entering as the new top-shelf Captiva 5, the LTZ adds leather-appointed trim, heated front seats, eight-way power adjustment for the driver's seat, 19-inch alloy wheels and rain-sensing wipers.
The Captiva 5 LTZ is priced from $32,990 for the two-wheel-drive 2.4 litre petrol model, and $36,990 for the all-wheel-drive 2.2 litre turbodiesel (both prices exclude on-road costs).
Entry-level Captiva 5 models now wear an LT badge. New Snowflake Pearl and Sandy Beach paint options are also available as part of the model upgrade.
A mechanical upgrade of both Captiva 5 and Captiva 7 models sees the addition of Holden's new Gen II six-speed auto transmission, now fitted as standard.
The new transmission promises smarter shifts than the older unit, and diesel models also get a new final-drive ratio to improve drive quality (watch for TMR's review).
