Ford's all-new Mondeo hatch has been spied testing this week. While earlier shots showed the Mondeo's new technology being tested on the current model's platform, these exclusive new images reveal the 2013 Mondeo testing out its fresh new duds.

Heavy camouflage has been used to disguise the new Mondeo's finer details, but it is clear that the new model retains a similar tail-light design to the current model, along with the sleek coupe-like roofline, while getting a purposeful more-upright front.

A sharp new headlight design is likely to feature on the new Mondeo, perhaps mirroring the style of the recent Evos concept and the current Taurus sedan in the US.

Expect the new Mondeo to pack the latest options in Ford's EcoBoost engine range, including the 149kW 2.0 litre four-cylinder engine that stars in the current model.
