Ford has revealed a facelifted version of its Fiesta light car, ready to take on the new Peugeot 208 and fourth-generation Renault Clio.
Set for a debut at this month’s Paris Motor Show, the new model gets styling updates to bring the Fiesta in line with newer models, including the Focus and new Mondeo.
These cosmetic changes include new front and rear fascias, head and taillights, wheel designs, sideskirts, and a reprofiled bonnet.
Many of these styling revisions were previewed by the March unveiling of the upcoming Fiesta ST performance flagship.
The cleaner basic Fiesta design carries a distinct hint of recent Aston Martin models, with its slimmer profile and slatted front grille.
The interior has also been subtly revised, with a reconfigured centre stack and door controls. Ford’s SYNC voice command system is also expected to feature.
Full details are still to be revealed, but Ford has confirmed the new Fiesta will be driven by a 1.0 litre EcoBoost three-cylinder petrol engine, likely available in 74, 88 and 92kW levels of tune.
