Due to hit Australia in the new year, the revised Z4 gets a number of spot-the-difference tweaks inside and out, along with a new entry-level sDrive18i variant.
The Z4's subtle styling revisions include a "dynamic sweep" to the side indicators, a trio of new paint options, new interior trim choices and new wheel designs.
The new entry model, the 115kW Z4 sDrive18i, enters below the existing 135kW sDrive20i, 180kW sDrive28i and 250kW sDrive35is models. Power is provided by BMW's 2.0 litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol.
Speaking with TMR today however, BMW Australia's Piers Scott confirmed the sDrive18i model is not expected in Australia, leaving the sDrive20i as the local entry model.
New paint choices include Mineral Grey, Glacier Silver and Valencia Orange, each a metallic finish.
Depending on the market, the roadster's ConnectedDrive system has also been updated, gaining High Beam Assistant and Park Distance Control.
For variants with the Professional Navigation package optioned, internet-based information is available, including BMW Online and Real Time Traffic Information.
Enhanced iPhone connectivity is also available, offering access to Facebook and Twitter, along with music services like Stitcher, Pandora, Aupeo and MOG.
Again depending on the market, the ConnnectedDrive system now also features BMW TeleServices, Remote Services, Concierge Services and Automatic Collision Notification.
In the cabin, there's new gloss-black highlights and optional Fineline Anthracite wood trim. A Hyper Orange package is also offered, with black and orange highlights featured throughout.
Watch for more details on the 2013 Z4's local launch and specifications in the coming weeks.
