Local pricing and details for BMW’s all-new M6 two-door twins have surfaced ahead of their coming Australian launch.

A BMW dealer guide obtained by a TMR reader reveals that the local model will share the F10 M5 sedan’s seven-speed M-DCT dual clutch transmission, following speculation that the the M6 could arrive in Australia with an H-pattern option.

Launched in Europe earlier this year, the M6s also share the 412kW/680Nm 4.4 litre twin-turbo V8 engine with their M5 stablemate.

The 1850kg F12 M6 coupe tips the scales just 20kg lighter than the M5 sedan, but this is enough to reduce its claimed 0-100km/h acceleration figure by 0.1 second to 4.2 seconds.

That 0.01 second advantage won’t come cheap however, with the coupe’s $292,500 sticker price sitting $63,000 north of the M5’s current $229,500 ask.

The 1980kg F13 M6 convertible matches the M5’s 4.3 second 0-100km/h claimed figure, but is priced a further $16,000 up the scale at $308,500.
