2012 Toyota Camry Teased In Official Video, Revealed In Audience Footage

Toyota has yet to announce a specific launch date for its all-new 2012 Camry, but a Ward's Auto report in the US earlier this year offered the first hint, with Toyota US boss Bob Carter confirming a North American debut in the coming months. 

This week, Toyota came a step closer to revealing the new look of its global midsize sedan, thanks to a video of Toyota President Akio Toyoda offering a glimpse of the new Camry's headlights. Toyoda also confirmed a 'Fall' launch for the new model.

If that weren't enough, an audience member at Toyota's National Dealer Conference in Las Vegas this week has snapped a minute's worth of footage for the 'dealer eyes only' unveiling of the new Camry.

Little is known about the new Camry at this stage, although it is clear that Toyota is pushing to ensure its global midsizer remains competitive.

On the styling front, the 2012 Camry - although the footage is fuzzy - would appear to have a sportier profile, with thick C pillars and a sharper front-end. The finer styling details remain unclear, although the official preview video reveals that the headlights are similar to the updated Corolla sedan.

There is no word yet on an Australian launch or production schedule for the new Camry. We're waiting on Toyota Australia, watch this space for more.
