SsangYong Australia has released more details on the upcoming 2012 Actyon Sports, following confirmation last week that the new ute will launch here in March.

Full mechanical specifications have yet to be revealed for Australia, but SsangYong has confirmed that we can expect Tradie, Sports and SPR variants, mirroring the grades offered in the current line-up.

Features detailed at the Actyon Sports' Frankfurt Motor Show unveiling last year included a sunroof, a reversing camera, Bluetooth audio streaming, a trip computer and a hinge-sprung tailgate.

Other features included front and rear fog lamps, daytime running lights, disc brakes front and rear, heated front seats, powered external mirrors, climate control, a self-dimming rear view mirror and a multi-function steering wheel.

"The new Actyon Sports will be available in 4x2 and 4x4, six-speed manual and Australian-made six speed automatic transmission," SsangYong Australia boss Jeff Barber said today.

The six-speed auto will be provided by Australia's Drivetrain Systems International, which was purchased by Chinese carmaker (and new Volvo owner) Geely in 2009.

In Korea, the new Actyon Sports - sold as the Korando Sports - is powered by the Euro 5-compliant e-XDi200 diesel engine, producing 114kW and 360Nm of torque - a 10kW and 50Nm boost over the current model's diesel mill.
