2012 Renault Koleos Update On Sale In Australia By Year’s End

Renault has confirmed that its updated Koleos small SUV will make its Australian debut in the coming weeks.

Speaking with TMR today, Renault Australia spokesperson Emily Ambrosy said that while exact timing has not been confirmed, the revised crossover will go on sale before the year is out - you can probably read that as a late November launch.

For 2012, the Koleos gets an all-new headlight design, along with a new grille and a new bumper style. The tweaks bring the crossover's look more in-line with the the new Fluence and Latitude sedans.

It also gets new exterior mirrors with integrated indicators, new wheel designs and the new 'Cayenne Orange' colour option.

Updates in the cabin are less obvious, although a range of new fabrics and trims will be offered. The compact SUV's instrument cluster has also had a subtle makeover for 2012.

The Koleos will continue with Renault-Nissan's M9R inline-four turbodiesel, in both 110kW and 126kW tunes. A 130kW 2.5 litre petrol engine will also be offered.

Both diesel and petrol engines carry over from the current Koleos, although Renault promises improvements to fuel consumption and emissions.
