Peugeot Australia's high-riding 3008 crossover has come in for a 2012 update this week, picking up new standard features and an upgrade to Peugeot's Assured Service capped servicing plan.
The launch of the 2012 range also marks the switch to Peugeot's Active and Allure trim grade names, replacing the XSE and XTE badges of the 2011 line-up.
In Active form, the 3008 picks up Bluetooth and USB connectivity, along with the 'Cielo' glass roof, upgrades that Peugeot describes as an additional $2000 in value.
The 3008 Active's existing features include cruise control with speed-limiter, rear park assist, dual-zone climate control, an electric park brake, leather-trimmed tilt/reach adjustable steering, chilled centre console, 17-inch alloy wheels, front and rear foglights.
The Allure grade picks up a leather trim package for 2012, adding $2500 in value.
Across the range, the 3008's safety features include six airbags, ESP, hill start assist, three point seat belts on all seats, pretensioning and force limiting front seatbelts, retractable steering column and brake pedal, dynamic roll control, emergency brake assist and a five-star ANCAP crash safety rating.
Mechanically, the 3008 remains unchanged for 2012, with power drawn from a 1.6 litre petrol engine and a 2.0 litre turbodiesel, both Euro V emissions compliant.
In petrol form, the 3008 offers 115kW and 250Nm of torque, with fuel consumption listed at 7.7 l/100km. The diesel delivers 120kW and 340Nm of torque, with fuel figures listed at 6.7 l/100km.
All 2012 3008 models now carry Peugeot’s capped-price Assured Service plan, already offered with the 508 and 308.
As with all capped-service plans, the Assured Service package ensures locked service costs over three years (or 60,000 km) from the time of purchase. The service fee is $330 per scheduled service under this plan.
