This is the face of the next-generation Nissan Pathfinder, which will do away with the rugged offroading lines of the current model.
The release today of two new teaser images revealing the front- and rear-end styling of the new Pathfinder follows a shadowy profile shot issued late last month.
The images reveal a more streamlined design at both ends, but while the headlights have been stretched and the grille's outer inlets deleted, the front design remains familiar.
It's a different story at the back however, with longer lights reaching deeper into the tailgate, which has also been given a more shapely design.
Last month's teaser image - the first of seven, Nissan says - revealed a curvaceous new profile that marks a major departure from the boxy styling of the current model.
The new Pathfinder will debut in "concept" form at the Detroit Auto Show this month, but if these images are anything to go by, there may be little to separate the concept's styling from the final product.
