The range-topping Mercedes-Benz SL 63 (or 55?) AMG has been spied testing this week, just days after the regular SL was caught roaming the streets of Europe.
As with last week's spy shots, the AMG-enhanced SL shown here is wearing only the lightest of camouflage skins, giving Merc fans the best look yet at the new model's flagship variant.
Among the usual AMG performance-focused upgrades here are a tougher body kit with larger five-spoke wheels, rear spoiler and a rear diffuser with a quad exhaust arrangement.
Expect the 2012 SL AMG to be powered by Merc's new 5.5 litre V8 engine, producing upwards of 400kW and 800Nm of torque.
