The Detroit Auto Show continues today, but already a number of carmakers are beginning to roll out teasers for March's Geneva Motor Show.

Kia is among them, but rather than flash a glimpse of headlight or a little bit of grille, the Korean carmaker has given a full-frontal look at it next-generation Cee'd hatch.

The current Cee'd is sold only in Europe and a handful of Middle Eastern markets, with its spot in other markets already occupied by the five-door Cerato hatch.

Could this all-new hatch see the Cee'd and Cerato lines unified? Your guess is as good as ours, although our intel out of Korea suggests that this new Cee'd could offer a first look at the upcoming replacement for the Cerato.

The release of this teaser image (which came with no other details) follows the publishing in December of a set of illustrations that appeared to hint at a new small Kia sedan.

While the above hatch bears the same Kia family styling, the two are clearly not the same car. Whether last month's sketches were sourced from Kia, however, is unclear.

Watch for more details on the new Cee'd to surface in the lead-up to the Geneva show.
