Honda's VT750S has been given a light update for the 2012 model year, gaining a new tri-colour scheme inspired by Honda team legend 'Fast' Freddie Spencer.

The new colours give the classic cruiser a boost in retro style but the price remains unchanged at $8990 (plus on roads, of course).

Power for the Japan-built VT750S is delivered by a liquid-cooled SOHC V-Twin engine with 62Nm of torque up its sleeve, while braking is sorted by a 296mm disc and twin-piston combo at the front, and a 180mm drum at the rear.

Weight is listed at 232kg after a fill-up of its (rather small) 10.7 litre tank, and fuel consumption is in the range of 6.5 l/100km.

The bike's biggest drawcard is its low 750mm seat height, making it an appealing option those of 'below average' stature. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

The new Tricolour scheme is available now, alongside the existing Heavy Grey Metallic and Pearl White options.
