The images reveal that much of the concept's styling will carry over to the production version of the new small SUV, with only the simplified front bumper standing out as the obvious difference.
The large wheels of the concept have been swapped for smaller hoops, and the blacked-out headlights have also been switched for regular units.
The new images also offer a first look at the new CR-V's interior, revealing a larger high-mounted display and a deep-set chrome-ringed instrument cluster.
For now, little else about the new CR-V is known. Much of the interior remains under wraps, and technical details have yet to be revealed - although Honda says power will be provided by "a more fuel-efficient" engine, with fuel consumption helped by a lighter kerb weight.
Watch for the 2012 CR-V to make its global debut at next month's Los Angeles Auto Show.
