2012 HOLDEN COLORADO
Following confirmation last year that an all-new model is on the way, the 2012 Holden Colorado has been teased this week in the body of its GM stablemate, the Chevrolet Colorado.
The new Colorado will make its international debut at this year's Bangkok International Motor Show, opening on March 25.
GM pointed to the growing strength of the Chevrolet brand in Thailand as the driving force behind the decision to unveil the new model in the Southeast Asian country.
While a Thai-market debut for the 2012 Colorado has been set for later this year, details of the new model's global launch - including Australia - have yet to be revealed.
Holden confirmed to TMR last year that production of Australia-bound Colorados will stay in Thailand, and a range of bodystyles – including single cab, dual cab and space cab, along with a possible wagon variant – will be offered.
The 2012 Colorado will compete in the Australian market with the usual suspects, including the Toyota HiLux, the Nissan Navara, Mitsubishi Triton and the all-new Ford Ranger.
