2012 BMW 1 Series M Sport Package Revealed

Following its impromptu pre-Frankfurt unveiling last week, BMW has revealed new details for its upcoming 2012 1 Series Hatch - this time in the form of the 1 Series M Sport package.

Shown above with the familiar M Sport front bumper design, the package will offer a range of sporty styling and handling upgrades for the small rear-wheel-drive hatch range.

Other options in the 1 Series M Sport catalogue include new front and rear bumpers, along with side skirts and new light alloy wheel options.

Inside, options will include a M-emblazoned leather steering wheel, M gear shifter and aluminium pedals. The cabin can also be upgraded to include sports seats and a number of unique interior trim highlights, including aluminium finishes.

As with BMW's other model upgrades, the 1 Series M Sport package should also include a number of handling and braking options.

Expect the M Sport package to follow the 2012 1 Series Hatch's Australian debut later this year.
