The latest announcement leading up to the show is from coach-building company Zagato, which has teamed up with South Africa's Perana Performance Group to produce the stunning Perana Z-One.
Powering the coupe will be the General Motors 6.2L V8 used by Holden, but its projected 320kW+ output is higher than anything offered in a local vehicle. That power should propel the Perana Z-One from 0-100km/hr in under 4 seconds.
We've heard conflicting reports on just how many arms and legs the Perana Z-One will cost - from $100,000 to $180,000 - but one thing is clear: this car isn't going to struggle to find owners.
Zagato is famous for using its aeronautics knowledge to restyle existing cars for better aerodynamics, and the company's work with various Aston Martin and Alfa Romeo models has been known to make grown men weak at the knees.
Perana is also more famous for tuning existing cars than building them from scratch, most notably for shoehorning a big V8 into a Ford Capri some decades back.
As more information comes prior to its Geneva launch, you'll be sure to read about it here. In the meantime, check out the gallery for the renderings and sketches of the Z-One.
