... for Maserati has announced that spaces in its increasingly-popular Master Maserati Driving Course are disappearing fast, with only ten places left in its first course for 2009. (Oh yes, you also will need sufficient cashola and a ticket to Varano, Italy.)

The driving courses on offer put both aspiring and existing Maserati owners in the driver's seats of the entire Maserati range, where they are schooled in both race techniques and safe-driving skills. There are two levels for participants to choose from: the Master GT course and the Master Maserati High Performance course, both of which take place at the Varano circuit in Italy.

The Master GT course spans two days and is an entry-level introduction to performance driving, with a curriculum that covers racing lines, braking technique, direction changes and controlled slides.

The High Performance course, on the other hand, is a little more hardcore. Participants use the new GranTurismo S for the entire two-day course, and telemetry data is logged on each of their runs. Not only that, but drivers with a wealth of experience in Formula One, WRC and touring car racing assist each participant and help them perfect their car control skills.

The first Master GT course is scheduled to begin on April 21, with the first High Performance course slated for June25. Costs for each course are €3750 and €4200 respectively, and include two day's accommodation, meals, track fees and insurance for the all the high-dollar machinery you'll be playing with.
