Veritas Favour “Passenger = Dead Weight” Approach With RS III

It's light, it's powerful and when viewed from the front, it looks like a startled catfish. It's the Veritas RS III and it promises to redefine the term "wind-in-your-hair motoring".

Powered by a modified version of the E60 M5's V10, the topless RS III has around 600hp to push its lightweight 1070kg frame. Veritas expect the RS III to be able to sprint to 100 from a standstill in just 3.2 seconds, while top speed is anticipated to be 347kph .

The RS III's low weight was achieved through the extensive use of carbon-kevlar in the bodywork, as well as by the apparent deletion of any passenger-carrying capability. From what we can gather, it seems that the RS III is strictly a one-occupant affair - although we can't see what's under the paneling on the right-hand side, the absence of a second roll-over bar suggests this car is plainly targeted at the antisocial enthusiast.

Exclusivity is a big selling point when it comes to pitching cars at the mega-rich, so Veritas will only be building 50 of these a year. Deliveries are expected to commence at the end of this year, although as yet there has been no announcement on how many Euros will get you into one.
