Triumph has launched a trio of special edition models in Australia this month, focusing on the Speed Triple, T100 Bonneville Sixty and the café racer-styled Thruxton.

2010 Triumph Speed Triple Special Edition

The 2010 Triumph Speed Triple SE arrives in Australia this month after its November 2009 EICMA debut, bringing updated suspension and, for the first time in its 15-year history, a two-tone paint scheme.

The SE version of the cult favourite gets modified internal components for both the forks and rear suspension, designed to improve the bike's damping characteristics.

Combined with a five percent softer rear spring, Triumph says the latest Speed Triple offers better ride comfort, reduced fork dive under heavy braking and superior body control.

The vivid Tornado Red colour scheme features a sporting Crystal White centre stripe and black pinstripe, with a colour-matched fly screen and seat cowl.

Mechanically, the Speed Triple SE is identical to the standard model, featuring a 95kW version of Triumph's signature 1050cc three-cylinder engine.

2010 Triumph Thruxton Special Edition

The 51kW 865cc parallel-twin Thruxton Special Edition, named after the British racetrack where Triumph took home a number of titles in the 1960s, debuts a new red frame and Crystal White bodywork with red stripe. The bike also features with a colour-matched factory fitted fly screen and blacked out engine cases.

2010 Bonneville T100 Sixty Special Edition

Inspired by the classic colour scheme of the 1960 incarnation of Triumph's most famous model, the Bonneville Sixty is a limited run of 650 T100s featuring a new two-tone Meriden Blue/Caspian Blue paint scheme, with hand-painted pinstripes.

Each Bonneville Sixty Special Edition comes with a numbered plaque on the handlebar clamp, along with an individual certificate of authenticity.
