Toyota LandCruiser 60th Anniversary Edition Announced For Australia

Toyota Australia has announced availability of a new special edition LandCruiser package to celebrate the iconic four-wheel-drive's 60th birthday.

Starting at $79,990, Toyota Australia says the 60th Anniversary LandCruiser offers more than $5000 in extra equipment, at a premium of $2576 over the V8 petrol GXL on which it's based.

Thanks to the addition of Toyota's Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS), normally a $3250 option for the GXL, the special edition LandCruiser has an effective price increase of just $76.

Already a standard feature of the new Prado, Toyota's KDSS automatically adjusts the front and rear anti-roll bars, improving handling, stability and ride comfort.

Designed for comfort on and off the road, KDSS provides enhanced stability during on-road driving while allowing longer suspension travel for tackling off-road trips.

Other features for the 60th Anniversary LandCruiser include a leather-accented interior, Bluetooth-compatible touch-screen satellite navigation with a four-CD changer, a premium steering wheel and shift lever, silver roof rails and 60th Anniversary badges. 

Exterior paint colours feature the new "Shimmer Blue", which is unique to the special-edition model. Buyers can also choose Crystal Pearl (previously exclusive to top-of-the-range Sahara) or Graphite.

All new LandCruisers, including the 60th anniversary edition, are covered by Toyota Service Advantage, which caps the price for a standard scheduled service at $210 during the first three years or 60,000km (whichever comes first).
