Toyota have announced the debut of two new models at next months Geneva Motor Show. First up is the Toyota iQ, an all-new small car that first saw the light of day at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show as the Concept Car.

Toyota claim that the little iQ represents a break-through in compact urban transportation and compact it is, measuring under three metres in length. Although diminutive in stature the iQ is able to carry three people in comfort, with room to spare for a child, luggage or the weekly groceries.

Toyota have extracted maximum space from the interior of the iQ through clever packaging, a result of six space-saving and inter-linked engineering innovations, that Toyota say is a revolution in their vehicle development.

The Toyota iQ is being touted as an environmentally friendly vehicle, that is safe for occupants and despite its size is not as basic as some small cars.

For those who prefer their SUV’s but live in or around a city, Toyota’s new Urban Cruiser could be the answer. Also being unveiled in Geneva, the Urban Cruiser is an environmentally responsible small SUV aimed at the urban all-roader market basically an SUV with low fuel consumption and emissions.

Also on display in Geneva will be Toyota’s latest advances in urban environmental transport solutions, a plug-in hybrid prototype as well as two concept cars: the Toyota 1/X plug-in hybrid concept in combination with flexible fuel vehicle technology, and the i-Real personal mobility concept.

More details on the iQ and Urban Cruiser are expected to become available after their Geneva unveiling.
