When our own Dan McCoey took the TMR 380 for a quick blast earlier this year his confirmation that Team Mitsubishi Ralliart (TMR) would be building 20 of them based on Mitsubishi 380 VRX donor cars was not believed by all.

Well, for the non-believers it is now officially official. You can check out our test drive and all of the specifications for the TMR 380 over at our TMR 380 test drive page.

There is however some additional news. Alan Heaphy, the man behind Team Mitsubishi Ralliart has confirmed that 14 of the 20 TMR 380s have been earmarked for private collections – these are the very last of the Mitsubishi 380s, the most powerful and the most flamboyant 380 ever, so this makes perfect sense.

Three of the remaining six have already been purchased for regular road use leaving just three of one of the rarest Australian Mitsubishis unaccounted for – and there is still time to make one of them yours. The remaining three TMR 380’s are available to be purchased for $56,990.

The first of the run of 20 production TMR 380s is currently on display at Knox Mitsubishi, East of Melbourne.
