A cool range of bikes, with an even cooler brand name, all owned and managed by a chap who is so cool, he only uses his first name. And it's all on its way to Australia.

We’ll get our first look at the new (to Australia) Sucker Punch Sallys range of old-style custom motorcycles from the USA, at the 2009 Melbourne International Motor Show due to get underway at the end of this month.

Sucker Punch Sallys Australia, has been set up by veteran Melbourne bike and car restorer and customiser George Vidovic. George will run SPS Australia in conjunction with his Python Choppers, which produces one-off customer choppers to individual customer order.

But that is not all George does. George is also in the Cobra replica game, and produces a handful of hand-made replicas each year. Known as the Python, they sell for upwards of $100,000 each and take up to 16 months to build to order.

George will be bringing three examples of the Python to Melbourne, where they will share the stand with examples of his own custom choppers, in addition to a few bikes from the SPS range. This could very well be the coolest display at the show…

The three Sucker Punch bikes at the Motor Show stand will be the 66, Swinger and Traditional, and pricing is expected to start in the mid-30 thousands, subject to any variations in the exchange rates.

Sucker Punch Sallys founder is a chap named Christian. Christian will be flying out to Melbourne, from The States, and we believe will be available at the SPS Australia display. Christian never uses his surname. If you meet him, don’t give up yours without a fight.

The Melbourne International Motor Show opens at 5pm on Friday 27 February and runs until 6 pm on Monday 9 March at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.
