Last week we reported on the SsangYong C200 Eco Crossover concept, which the Korean carmaker is expected to unveil in production trim at the upcoming 2009 Seoul Motor Show.
SsangYong has now offered up this illustration titled C200 Aero, and though it bears obvious similarities to the Eco Crossover concept, it will apparently sit alongside the C200 Eco Crossover concept at Seoul.
In all likelihood, this is the production version of the C200 line, and the C200 Eco is merely an attention-grabber.
While the C200 Eco Crossover concept looks to be a production possibility (except, perhaps, for the grille and LED headlights), the C200 Aero brings more rugged and conventional SUV styling to the table.
Where the C200 Eco Crossover’s styling is akin to a city hatch on an SUV platform, the C200 Aero features hard plastic mouldings along the lower sections of the body and, though it maintains the same flow as the Eco, wears more clearly defined lines.
Utilising a front-wheel-drive format (no mention of AWD/4WD), SsangYong’s new CUV will also feature a monocoque body design.
The C200 Aero is expected to be powered a 2.0 litre turbo diesel developing around 130kW (175hp).
