One of the most popular vehicles on the Skoda stand at this year’s Geneva Motor Show has been the Fabia Sport Design Concept.

Little has been revealed beyond the eye-catching visuals, but rumours suggest the concept vehicle could be a precursor to the Skoda Fabia vRS.

The Fabia vRS is expected during 2010 and when released, will take its place as the sportiest of Fabias available.

The Sport Design Concept features a two-tone colour scheme both in and outside the car, black alloy wheels, a unique front and rear bumper (complete with diffuser), a dark chrome surround for the grille and blackened headlights.

Reports suggest that the next Fabia vRS will help itself to a 1.4 litre TSI petrol engine from parent company Volkswagen. This would replace the turbo diesel mill currently in action.

Based on public reaction to the Skoda display at the Melbourne International Motor Show and the attention garnered in Geneva, Skoda will be one to watch in the coming years.
