It is a limited edition kind of week and following hard on the heels of the Lotus Elise S 40th anniversary edition and the Land Rover Defender SVX comes an altogether different and rather more expensive beast. Rolls-Royce have just announced their Phantom Tungsten edition.

The exterior treatment mirrors the 101EX concept (we’ll see it soon as the Phantom Coupe) with the same dark Tungsten coloured paint and the seven-spoke alloys worn by the concept. A brushed aluminium hood is the other most notable exterior feature, a styling cue borrowed from the Drophead Coupe, while chrome exhaust outlets finish off the exterior changes.

On the inside in addition to the usual Phantom features, your Tungsten edition also features Smoke Grey leather seats with contrasting navy blue hide and a starlight headliner that uses some eight hundred fibre-optic lights to create a star-filled night sky effect.

The dashboard is micro-engraved metal combined with a high gloss straight grained East Indian Rosewood veneer - one to keep the kids feet off. It is not known how many Phantom Tungstens will be produced, however each continent will have a limited number made available, so rarity is assured.
