Proton Jumbuck comes with free Quad bike

As part of a concerted effort to sell more Jumbuck Utes in Australia, Proton is now offering a new quad-bike to every new Jumbuck buyer who buys $1000 worth of genuine accessories during January. The Jumbuck is the cheapest way into a new ute in Australia and Proton are keen to sell more of their value for money ute to those on the land or those just looking to have some weekend quad bike fun.

The quad bike has a retail value of $2,300 and can be part of the package when buying either of the Jumbuck ute variants. The Jumbuck GLi is priced from $14,990 (plus on roads) and the up spec GLSi starts at $16,990 (plus on roads). According to Proton Cars Australia managing director John Startari the Jumbuck quad bike offer is a way of adding extra value and enhancing the attractiveness of Australia's toughest half tonne ute.

"Jumbuck has found great favour with buyers around the country thanks to its economy and reliability and this special limited offer will make it even more attractive. It will have special appeal to farmers and rural producers but will also be a major buying feature for those keen to head off road with the quad and have some fun in the dirt," said John Startari.

The 50cc petrol powered quad bike fits neatly into the Jumbuck's spacious load tray and can be tied down using the standard tie down hooks already fitted to the Proton ute.

The $1000 accessory purchase to qualify for the free quad bike can include anything in the Proton genuine accessory catalogue such as a tow bar, tonneau cover, hard lid, weather shield, tray liner or any one of the range of versatile items designed to enhance the Jumbuck.

The Jumbuck was considered to be the lowest cost commercial vehicle to own and operate in 2007, according to the NRMA's Business Wise website, which shows the Jumbuck costing just $155.05 per week to own and run calculated on an average usage of 25,000km per year over a three year ownership period for business use.

The figures indicate that the Jumbuck is up to $400 a week less expensive to run than one of the most popular diesel four wheel utes and significantly less expensive than larger six-cylinder utes whether they are run on LPG or petrol.

The Jumbuck range is powered by a 1.5 litre four-cylinder OHC engine and in GLi sped is equipped with factory fitted air-conditioning, power steering, AM/FM CD audio system, central locking, remote keyless entry and alarm with a panic button as standard.

The higher spec Jumbuck GLSi is equipped with cloth trim, 14" alloy wheels, electric remote mirrors and power windows along with a four-speaker AM/FM/CD audio system.

The Jumbuck comes with Proton's Quality Care package, which includes a 3-year/100,000-kilometre warranty along with 24-hour roadside assistance for the life of the warranty.
