ArtCar, a blog seemingly devoted to cars in the types of embarrassing situations their buddies at car school will get high on, have got a great post listing the 25 secret tips for recognising a fake General Lee.

For those not in the know?including myself until I looked into it about eight minutes ago?there's something of a trend around the world for dressing one's car up as the General Lee, the US-spec Dodge Charger made famous in the TV show The Dukes of Hazzard. Whether this positively or negatively influences the sale value of the car, I couldn't say. And if it does, is there some sort of chart out there that describes which among the TV cars has the most value? Herbie, Starsky & Hutch, Knight-Rider, Magnum P.I, and so forth.

There needs to be some sort of international league, or better yet a pageant, where TV car imitations come together to vote for the best shade of General Lee Orange, the best animatronic Herbie eyelids, and the best KITT computerised voice.
