It was bound to happen sooner or later and here it is: the first conversion kits for the Pontiac G8 and G8 GT that replace the US models' front end bodywork and badges with that of our SS Commodore or HSV Clubsport.
JHP Vehicle Enhancements in Australia is responsible for the kit and is providing G8 owners with the chance to get some extra exclusivity without turning their ride into a freak of nature.
Much more than a front bumper conversion, US customers will receive a new bonnet, bonnet latch, bonnet insulator, fog lights, and all the bits and bobs that fix the bar to the car and keep it safe.
The panels can be colour-coded upon purchase and there are also Holden badges and centre caps to complete to look. All this costs USD$1990 for an SS Commodore conversion and USD$3880 for the HSV Clubsport gear. USD$150 will get the set of four centre caps, and the same again for the badge kit.
Here's the big question though, which looks better? Money aside, if you could choose on looks alone, would you take the local offering, or the Pontiac derivatives?
