We may not be huge fans of the Prius but we shouldn't let that get in the way of a good video. In this case you get to see the new plug-in Prius, two of the eight that are currently testing in Japan.

The relevance of plug-in electrically powered vehicles in Australia is debatable given that our electricity supply is largely provided via coal-fired power stations. Encouraging any form of electrically driven transport that relies on mains power for recharging is spurious at best.

If we were really concerned about the environment then we would have a campaign to cut down on the use of electrical energy around the house and in industry but the car is an easier target.
