After a stunt driver?s job of threading through traffic in New York?s Times Square ended in a collision with the wall of a Sbarro?s restaurant, Nicolas Cage and Disney will be hoping the crash isn?t prophetic for the star?s upcoming film.
The crash saw two bystanders injured, although it?s difficult from the footage to make out the extent of the injuries. One woman was knocked to the ground and a man had a light-pole land on his leg as the Ferrari F430 jumped the kerb, seemingly aquaplaning out of control. (Video after the jump.)
The stunt was part of a scene for Disney?s The Sorcerer?s Apprentice, an adaptation of Fantasia, starring Cage. Traffic was closed for the scene, which featured the Ferrari giving chase to an unseen Mercedes-Benz.
The other vehicles in the footage were apparently there as part of the scene.
